Christina Sypsa has studied Physical Education and Sport Science in Athens and she has completed two Masters of Science in Adapted Physical Activity and in Psychomotor therapy in KU Leuven, Belgium.
She has followed training seminars in Sensory Integration Therapy, in Psychodrama, in Music and Movement Education, in Psychomotor Education, in Yoga for children and adults and in Non-Violent Communication- School Mediation. She is a qualified practitioner of Lego®-based therapy and of Sherborne Developmental Movement (Level 1 and 2). She has also followed trainings in Functional Behavioral Analysis, in P.E.C.S., in Therapeutic Listening, in Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) and numerous continuing education programs related to Psychoanalysis.
She has worked as a Psychomotor Therapist in early intervention programs for children with ASD, in individual and group programs with children with developmental disorders, with adults with psychiatric disorders and as a supervisor of Psychomotor groups.
She is the co- author of two articles concerning the physical self- esteem of children, published at the European Journal of Psychomotricity.
At the moment she is the scientific coordinator of Psychomotor Athens (a Special Education center for children) and of Playgym (a leisure activity center for children) and the President of the Psychomotor Association Hellas, member of the European Forum of Psychomotricity.
