Panagiota Makri is a Clinical Psychologist from Athens. She has studied Psychology in the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens. She has completed her Master of Science in Child Development in the University of Central Lancashire.
She has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-CBT, specialized in Children and Adolescents, and in Applied Behavioral Analysis- ABA. Furthermore, she has completed training seminars in Counseling and in Special Education. She has been also trained in TEACCH, in Lego®- based therapy, in S.S.I.P (Social Skills Intervention Program), in Video Modeling and in Social Stories. She is a qualified administrator of various psychometric tools such as the WISC-III, the ΑθηναΤεστ (for screening Learning Difficulties) and others related to Play Therapy and to Children’s Drawing. Since May 2019 she is an accredited Lego®- based therapy trainer from Bricks for Autism.
Her clinical experience includes Psychotherapy treatment in children and adolescents, parents’ training and parental counseling. Additionally, she coordinates groups of children aiming at their Social and Emotional development, and Lego® Clubs at Psychomotor Athens. Finally, she has worked on early intervention programs in children with ASD and as a shadow teacher in primary schools.
